According to the company, the food has not been contaminated in any way – it simply isn’t staying fresh the way it’s supposed to. This means that though the best-by date says the food is still fresh and safe for your dog to eat, it may not be. An odor has been reported to come from the foods that are going bad too quickly.
The 4 lots affected by this recall are all from the Nature’s Variety Prairie Beef Meal & Barley Medley dry kibble formulas. The specific lots affected are:
