How To Prevent Sickness
Salmonella spreads easily and can make humans, dogs, and other pets sick. Be sure to thoroughly wash your hands after handling the treats and anything they came in contact with (food bowls, storage containers, etc.).
Familiarize yourself with signs of salmonella so you can react quickly if anyone in your household shows them:

As you can see, many of the symptoms are the same which makes them easier to remember. Dogs and humans with weaker immune systems (the young, the elderly, anyone sick or recovering from surgery, etc.) are more susceptible.
If anyone in your household has come in contact with contaminated treats and shows these symptoms, contact a medical professional immediately.
